Opening Ceremony of 'Innovative Shennong's - 5G Hydroponic Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultivation Project'

THEi has always been actively involved in different scientific research projects, hoping to combine innovation and technology achievements with applied technology to promote the modernization of society.

The team from BSc (Honours) in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy of THEi collaborates with HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School, Chinese Medicine & Culture Research Center (CMCRC), Farm 66 and SmarTone HK, to set up a garden for hydroponic traditional Chinese medicine cultivation with 5G technology. Through this project, we hope to train students to cultivate Chinese medicinal herbs by using technology, promoting professional development of Chinese medicine. Managing Director of CMCRC, Dr Dawn Au, launches an opening ceremony of this project at HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School today.

5G technology assists in real-time monitoring and data collection, research on efficacy of harvested Chinese medicinal herbs will be done by THEi, to find out the most optimal cultivation method for reaching the best level of efficacy.

Dr. CHAN Pak Li, Bernard, JP, Under Secy for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, and Professor Alan Kin Tak LAU, President of THEi, are invited to visit this Ceremony. We are all looking forward to our outcomes!
